Hours: Full Time – Flexibility may be required over the working hours to respond to the needs of the business.

Role Introduction:

  • Day to day responsibility for the following customer accounts – Waitrose, Lidl, Ocado and Iceland. Responding to requests and challenges in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identification and consequent driving of opportunities.
  • To deliver and drive sales, volume, value and margin growth targets for all Customers.
  • To effectively build upon and maintain, strong lasting relationships with all Customers.
  • Ensuring a clear and detailed understanding of the category, utilising the full range of information and category management tools (such as data analysis and interpretation, price, product range/NPD, promotional and marketing tools).
  • Clear commercial understanding and responsibility for delivering the Fenmarc business and financial plan.
  • To support the Head of Commercial and Sales Director in delivering the requirements of the business & our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To maximise profitable sales of our customer accounts for the benefit of the business.
  • Responsibility for delivering the Commercial Deal and key KPI’s for each account – volume, value, contribution, waste; plus working in conjunction with team in delivering service levels and technical measures.
  • Responsible for forecasting and along with Head of Commercial delivering sales budgets, targets and objectives.
  • Working closely with the NPD Manager, in delivering exciting, and commercially sustainable, new products for product submissions, to keep Fenmarc at the forefront of the category development.
  • Face all customer challenges head on in a professional manner to ensure that their requirements and objectives are satisfied.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree educated/relevant experience
  • Have experience within Produce Category
  • 1-2 years’ experience within a Sales role
  • Good communication skills
  • Good computer literacy
  • Analytical
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customers

Desirable Skills:

  • Waitrose System experience
  • Asda Retail Link experience
  • Waitrose Account Management experience
  • Experience of negotiations with retailers
