Hours 4 on 4 off, 08:00hrs – 19:30hrs. Flexibility required
Role Introduction
To manage the throughput of materials in order to facilitate the production of goods and services at the agreed specification, quality and timescale while maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
Key Areas of Responsibility ·         Managing the throughput of material for specific process (i.e. fluming, mixing, packing) to ensure adherence to plan in full and as per the daily schedule

·         Managing colleagues in area to deliver throughput in most efficient way

·         Embedding right first time approach with team

·         Planning ahead to ensure downtime minimised

·         Maintaining a high standard of GMP at all times

·         Accurate and timely completing of all relevant paperwork for area

·         Full adherence to manufacturing specifications for all products

·         Ensuring full traceability is always maintained for all products/mixes/raw materials

·         Liaison with other teams to ensure continuity of throughput

·         Primary contact for area of responsibility

Essential Skills and Experience ·         Working knowledge of Process Machinery·         BRC understanding and experience

·         Understanding of technical requirements within a food manufacturing environment

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

·         Attention to detail

·         Ability to work as part of a team

·         Experience working in chilled and highcare environments

·         Ability to clearly prioritise tasks

·         Willingness to learn

·         Flexible

·         Self-motivated and highly organised

Desirable Skills ·         LEAN qualification (e.g. Six Sigma)·         IOSH

·         Food Safety qualification

·         Train the Trainer

·         Managing operations resources within the food manufacturing sector

·         Experience leading teams

·         Active member of work Committees/Colleague forums
