Standard, Level 3, Apprenticeship in Food and Drink Maintenance Engineer

Brief Overview of the Role:

This opportunity gives you have the chance to be a part of a team of 10 Engineers who install, commission new machinery and support the Operations team on a day to day basis ensuring we deliver great products to our customers.

By reporting directly to the Engineering Shift Leader you will be able to gain valuable knowledge paired with their daily support and guidance. Further support will also be provided by our Learning and Development Leader to help you with your college work.

Following the successful conclusion of your Apprenticeship training, the opportunity for a permanent job offer is available.

Duration of the Apprenticeship:

Up to 4 years depending on requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out any duty within the Company Health & Safety strict guidelines
  • Only carry out any engineering activity under the direct supervision of an experienced engineer
  • Attend college when required: to successfully complete the core skills of the Level 3 Diploma in Food and Drink Engineering Maintenance CWA course
  • Attend work in compliance with the Apprenticeship Agreement and successfully complete the on-site project work and site assessments as agreed by the college
  • Attend at work `on site reviews` with your line leader and on site L&D as arranged and agreed
  • Proactively take part in any work activity relative to your Apprenticeship
  • In addition to the core skills of the course it is an expectation the Apprentice will successfully complete the multi skilled option of the course

Framework/Standard and Apprenticeship Level to be Completed:

Standard, Level 3, Apprenticeship in Food and Drink Maintenance Engineer

Working Week:

Monday – Friday 08.30hrs – 17.00hrs

1st year 2 days each week. 7.5hrs/day

2nd year 3 days each week. 7.5hrs/day

3rd year 4 days each week. 7.5hrs/day

Pay reviewed annually based on performance

4th year 4on 4 off shift pattern. 12hr shift pattern. (Assignments permitting)

Training to be Provided:

3 days a week 1st year

2 days a week 2nd year

1 day a week 3rd year

4th year to be confirmed depending on requirements
