Skilled Packer- Day shift

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

Rate: £11.30

Hours of Work: 10:00hrs – 22:00hrs

Location: Elm, Wisbech

Overall Purpose of the Role:

Supporting the packing coordinator, manage the set up and smooth running of a packing line including the associated machinery to facilitate the production of goods and services at the agreed specification, quality and timescale while maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

Key Areas of Responsibility :

• Set up a packing line including the associated machinery in a timely manner to facilitate the line starting on time.
• Planning ahead to ensure downtime minimised
• Maintaining a high standard of GMP at all times
• Accurate and timely completion of all relevant paperwork for area
• Full adherence to manufacturing specifications for all products
• Ensuring full traceability is always maintained for all products
• Liaison with high care to ensure continuity of throughput
• Support the packing coordinator to deliver the daily production schedule on time in full

Essential Skills Required:

• Working knowledge of Process Machinery and the packing area
• GMP
• Knowledge of line set up of labellers/printers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to recognise improvement opportunities
• Ability to clearly understand the impact of downtime and inefficiency
• Experience in completing paperwork
• Good team worker
• Willingness to learn
• Commitment to schedule achievement

Previous packing experience is a desirable skill we are looking for.
